Emmy Brown
she/her/they pronouns
Emmy Brown was inspired to create Aeonium Rising LLC from her own journey navigating healing from intergenerational trauma patterns and journeying towards a holistic sense of well-being, both mentally and physically.
Aeonium Rising was creatively birthed in early 2024 and is the synthesis of merging her deep curiosities and dual-passions for science communication and somatic practices such as yoga, breathwork, and meditation.
Consistently returning to these somatic practices has been transformational in enabling her to find bodily-sovereignty and heal deep patterns of nervous system dysregulation from lived traumatic experiences. Witnessing the power of healing relationally both with self and in community, Aeonium Rising seeks to share these gifts with others in our offerings + services.
Emmy has 7 years of combined basic + biomedical scientific research experience and is currently working towards earning her PhD in Integrative Systems Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, with a focus in neurobiology and investigating epigenomic contributions to neurodegenerative disease development.
Emmy is currently enrolled in a 200hr antiracist Raja Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program with YogaRoots on Location in addition to a 300hr YTT program at Sneha Yoga & Wellness Collective in Pittsburgh, PA, which she is on track to graduate from this June 2025. She is also a certified Reiki 1 level practitioner and intends to continue growing in her knowledge of this energy healing modality to integrate along with her other somatic practice facilitation offerings.
